Delivery Policies

At Little Miss Flowers, we aim to provide a smooth and reliable delivery experience. Please read our delivery policies carefully to understand how we handle same-day delivery, special delivery requests, and other important details.

1. Same Day Delivery

We offer same-day delivery within the Darwin CBD and surrounding areas if orders are placed by 11:30 am. Deliveries are made between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, six days a week. Orders for businesses and schools are given priority to ensure delivery by close of business (2:30 pm - 4:00 pm). Orders placed after 11:30 am may be delivered the following day if same-day delivery isn’t possible.

Please note: During peak times (e.g., Valentine's Day, Mother’s Day), we may use third-party couriers to help manage high demand.

2. Same-Day Pickups

For same-day pickups, we require at least 1.5 hours to prepare your order. If you need your flowers sooner, please contact us to confirm availability and discuss timing.

3. Recipient Contact Information

To ensure successful delivery, please provide a valid mobile number for the recipient. Our delivery team may need to contact the recipient to arrange alternate delivery options if they are unavailable at the delivery location. This may include arranging re-delivery, pick-up, or permission to leave the package unattended.

4. Exclusions

We are unable to deliver to PO boxes. Additionally, some geographic restrictions may apply. If we cannot deliver to your chosen address, we will contact you to arrange an alternative solution.

5. Authority to Leave (ATL)

If requested, we may leave your order unattended if no one is available to receive it, provided it is safe to do so. By selecting this option, you grant us permission to leave the package at the front door or reception area of the address without a signature.

  • Important: We will not leave packages unattended if conditions are not safe (e.g., hot weather that may damage flowers or chocolates). Alcohol cannot be left unattended; if no one is available to accept alcohol deliveries, the order will be returned to our shop for collection.

6. Unsuccessful Deliveries

Little Miss Flowers makes every effort to complete every delivery successfully. If, for any reason, we cannot deliver your order, we will attempt to contact the phone numbers provided on the order form to discuss next steps. If no contact is made within five minutes, the courier will continue with other deliveries, and the following options apply:

  • You may pick up the order from our Parap store, or
  • We can arrange a re-delivery, which may incur an additional fee.

We are happy to make special accommodations for recipients who are unwell, elderly, or experiencing bereavement.

Common reasons for unsuccessful delivery include:

  • The recipient refuses to accept the flowers.
  • The address provided is incorrect.
  • The property is locked or inaccessible.
  • Delivery to certain buildings with strict security may be restricted.
  • Business address is closed.

Perishable items should be collected within 24 hours to ensure freshness and quality.

7. Delivery Access

Please ensure the recipient is available to receive the delivery, particularly in locations with restricted access, such as units, apartments, or gated properties.

8. Incorrect and Incomplete Addresses

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery information. If you notice an error in the address after placing an order, contact us immediately. Additional charges may apply if the corrected address is outside our usual delivery area or if re-delivery or replacement of perishable items is required due to an incorrect address.

9. Delivering Orders Containing Alcohol

Orders containing alcohol require an adult signature upon delivery and cannot be left unattended. If no recipient is available, the order will be returned to our shop for collection. Alcohol can not be purchased without Fresh Flowers or Food Hamper attached to the order.
